The Head Office of ACMS is in Yaounde. It has three (3) regional branches in Douala, Garoua and Bamenda, as well as a liaison office at Maroua. Thanks to its network of promoters in the ten provinces, the majority of its activities have a national coverage.
ACMS is managed by an Executive Director, assisted by four heads of Division.
Over and above the Permanent Secretary is a Board of Directors made up of nine members: six Cameroonians and three expatriates. It has an 84-man staff, of which 50 are permanent and 34 are contract employees. ACMS benefits from the technical and financial assistance of Population Services International (PSI).
The ACMS distribution network is made up of 59 certified wholesalers, 20 000 sales points. It is animated by teams of promoters present in all the ten provinces.
The commercial and community circuits (associations and institutional partners) and pharmacists are used to make products and high quality services available to the population.

Y'ello Réglo is an interpersonal communication project for 15-25 year olds, carried out by the target groups themselves and which has as main objective to contribute to the reduction of the HIV pandemic amongst in and out of school young people through the training of association leaders and their supervisors in «life skills»
CGS is an education project by peers that aims at reducing social tolerance and awareness of the incidence of trans-generational sexual relations in the HIV contamination chain. Girls between 14 and 25 years, schoolchildren or not are the main targets of the Project.
It is a child survival expanded impact project that is jointly implemented by ACMS, Plan Cameroun and Hellen Keller International. It concerns promoting best practices as regards to Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI).
The 25 health centres of the ProFam network of ACMS constitute an application framework of the health centre component of this IMCI.
Through this network, ACMS provides its support for 25 lay private health centres in Yaounde with a view to improving the services offered in family planning and IMCI.
ACMS contributes to the reduction of mortality and morbidity related to malaria through the promotion and distribution of mosquito nets impregnated with insecticide and re-impregnation kits by using pharmaceutical and commercial networks as well as institutional partners.
This project consists in educating the population on the causes of diarrhoea and water-borne diseases.
The prevention aspect is ensured by a clean water system through the distribution and the promotion of the sodium hypochlorite solution Sûr'Eau/WaterGuard for the treatment of drinking water. The promotion of the oral rehydra-tation salt (ORS) ORASEL enables the project to guarantee the treatment of diarrhoea cases.
PRISIDA is carried out in eighteen (18) sites based on: - Communication for Behaviour change - Improving screening services and classifying STIs - Bearing medical costs and treatment of STIs.
It involves twenty-five (25) health centres situated along targeted roads and a network of 280 peer educators.

Prudence plus (1989): Male Condom to protect oneself against sexually transmissible infections and unwanted pregnancies. pinch firmly the tip of the Condom and unroll it along the base of an erected penis.
Orasel (1994): Oral rehydration salt. In case of diarrhoea pour the content of your sachet in a litre of drinking water and drink (or cause to drink) at will.
Novelle Duo (1994): Oral hormonal contraceptive to ensure the spacing out of births and the prevention of unwanted pregnancies. To be taken solely upon medical prescription.
Depo Provera (2000): Reliable, effective and injectable hormonal contraceptive for three months. To be taken only upon medical prescription, following a well-informed decision.
Protectiv (2002): Female Condom to protect oneself against sexually transmissible infections and unwanted pregnancies. Pinch the small condom ring and introduce it as far as possible into the vagina.
Super Moustiquaire (2004-2006): Mosquito net impregnated with ordinary insecticide to protect oneself effectively against mosquito bites. To be re-impregnated every six months with the treatment kit, Bloc.
Bloc (2004 -2006): Mosquito net re-impregnation kit used every 6 months in order to make ordinary mosquito nets more efficient after each washing.
Sûr’Eau/WaterGuard (2006): Sodium hypochlorite solution for the treatment of drinking water in only 30 minutes. Use the cork of your bottle as measuring gauge for the treatment of 20 litres of drinking water.
PermaNet (2007): Mosquito net with a long duration of impregnation (4 years) replaces Super Moustiquaire. Its protection against malaria is longer. It remains effective after 20 washes.
KO-TAB 123: Mosquito re-impregnation kit with a 30-month effectiveness duration, replaces Bloc. It remains active even after 15 washes.
Created in 1996 following a collaboration agreement between the government of Cameroon and the non-profit-making American NGO, Population Services International (PSI), the Association Camerounaise pour le Marketing Social is an association constituted under the Law of Cameroon. Its objective is to work together with other stakeholders in the health and development sector in order to design and implement strategies that can help improve the social welfare of Cameroonian populations. ACMS notably facilitates population access to information, services and quality products in the health sector.
